Is there a such thing...

as adhesive that actually WORKS??!?!?!

Because so far everything that I have tried has totally failed me.

Try putting together an entire wedding album from scratch with adhesive that doesn't bloddy work.

Grrrr!

I've been tagged again!

1. First time you got kissed: I was 13, and I thought it was awful! Thankfully when I was 14 I kissed another boy and came to the realization that they other guy was just a sucky kisser!!

2. First time you drove a car: I was 15, I think. We were at my grandparents camp and since there is barely any traffic on the roads up there my dad let me drive. I almost didn't make the turn! LMAO! What kind of car? Chevy S10 I think.

3. First time you scrapbooked: Summer, 2002! Jana and I discovered page kits at Walmart, I scrapped that night. My mom said my constant cutting of shapes with my scissors annoyed her.

4. First time you went on a date: a date date? I don't know really. I never really went on 'dates' where the guy picks you up, etc. Mostly just went to gatherings or dances! LOL! The first time a guy ever picked me up to go to a movie, I was 17. He was psycho. Nice enough to take me out, psycho enough to almost leave me stranded in January 40kms from my home. Nice.

5. First time you fell in love: I was 14. First long term relationship (1.5 years). He kissed another girl and then dumped me.

6. First time you cooked for someone: No clue. First romantic meal I cooked for someone? Jamie, not sure when it was though.

7. First time you got on a plane: Where did you go? Were you scared? I have never been, I hope to someday though.

8.First time you shaved your legs: I can't remember how old I was. 11 or 12. Must have been uneventful.

9. First time you put on make up: Haha, again I can't remember, but I bet I wasn't too pretty!!

10. First time you moved out of your home: 17, left for University!

I tag Chandra, Nadine & Tracy if she reads this!

It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want too...

Okay, so technically it is not my birthday anymore, and technically I am not crying, but I'm at least significantly bummed out!!

I wanted to spoil myself for my birthday and of course that meant buying some scrapbook related.

I was on the QVC website and decided to order this. It is a cool 4 album set. One storage box, four different kit. Each kit is 1,000 piece kit with a different manufacturer in each one. So it's a 4,000 piece album set with different themes. Looks so cool. And the first kit is by the Lovely Heidi Swapp, I so love her stuff!! So I'm filling out the info for a membership in the check out area, etc and my postal code isn't valid.

I tried it in every combo, spaces, caps, lowercase, no spaces, etc. Everything but it still wouldn't work.

So I got to the live chat area and speak to a rep and they tell me that yes they ship to Canada but no, they won't ship to my postal code. What the heck!! And he can't even tell me why!! He tells me to call the 1 800 number and talk to a rep. Hello, aren't you a rep? UGH!!

So there went my birthday gift plans! Poo! That was a wicked kit too.

:(

Cake!!

I'm completely obsessed with Dairy Queen ice cream cakes. I could eat them every day and every year for my birthday I ask for one. I haven't gotten one in about four years. So this year I practically threatened Jamie that I would cut off body parts and torch his Mustang Cobra if I did not get an ice cream cake.

He kinda said he would get me one, then told me I had a few birthday surprises. But today there was no trip to Dairy Queen.

At supper I bought myself a 5$ piece of chocolate heaven to ease my pain.

Then Jamie's mom kinda let it slip that a cake might be in my near future.

And it was!!

Jana came back with a super yummy ice cream cake!! Talk about sweet! Thanks Jana!!

It tasted just as awesome as I remember and I can't wait to polish off the rest!!

Carded

It was a victory to me that the last few times I visited the liquer store that I didn't get carded. I actually looked old enough to buy the good stuff.

Since I am really feeling old today it felt great to get carded while buying LOTTERY TICKETS today!!

Seriously!! My mom asked me to check her lotto tickets for her so I went to the store and the girl paused and said "You're 19 right?" And I said yea, but she was still just staring and me. So I said, "It's my birthday today and I'm 25!!". She just stared at me dumb founded!! She really did not think I was serious!

Totally made my day, turning 25 and to her I barely look 19! I'll take it!!

:)

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Even though I hate the thought of getting older and growing up I do love a birthday!

I wish I had more planned for today but I do not. I might go out for supper and who knows what else!

Tomorrow will be a bit more celebratory, my parents, Jamie and I are going out for supper. Maybe Rod & Lindsey too, I hope so! The more the merrier! I think I will do some shopping before hand too.

Friday, I think we might have a party! I see now reason why I can't celebrate MYSELF for 3 days, right??

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow....

I turn 25.

My stomach turns when I think about it.

25! Me! 25? I feel like I just turned 18. Where did the time go?

I might be depressed tomorrow, heck I've been depressed since yesterday, lol! But I am happy to get some cake!

Don't scroll down!!

You have been warned!!

Don't look any further (unless you want to see pics of my room), but STOP there!

Do not go look at the pic of my hair.

After the shitty comments I have been getting, lol.

I think I'll go wash it about a dozen times.

Better late than never...

Okay I really wanted to take some pics of my newly painted bedroom in the natural daylight, but I had to take one tonight just to see how it would come out.

Not the best, this was the only pic that wasn't too dark.

Duh...

I'm such a doofus! I guess you all can't see my hair if I don't post the pic right??

I don't even want to post it anymore...

Note to self...

Don't take pictures early in the morning, you will look like crap.

Anyways, here is my 'new' hair. Not quite the same as last time. A little bright at the moment but nothing a few washes won't fix.

I like my new layers.

K, out for the day, so tell me how beautiful I am!!

:)

I am so shameless.

T minus two days until my BIRTHDAY.

Get your cards ready!

Got some....

PAINT!!

What do you think?? It kinda reminds me of chocolate milk, lol.

I Loves it!

:)

NADINE!!!

This is for you!

Pizza Roll Recipe...

It's not a real recipe, no measurements or anything. Add or take away as much as you want!

Here is what went into our filling....
Kraft Pizza Sauce
Cheese
Onions
Green Peppers
Ham
Pepperoni
Salami
Bacon
Hamburger

Chop up all your meat & veggies. Add your cheese and your sauce.

NOTE: you don't need tons of sauce. Your mixture should be thick. Too much sauce will leak out during cooking.

I used Egg Roll Wraps to wrap my filling into. We used both sizes, large and small. Add your mixture to the middle of your roll (A large spoonful for the large wraps & 1 small spoonfill to the smaller ones).

'Paint' the sides of your wrap with a cornstarch/water mixture. This helps seal your wraps.

Deep fry for 5-7 minutes.

YUM!

Paint...

I think I might paint my bedroom.

A birthday gift from Jamie.

I have been feeling the need to make this apartment feel more like home. We know we will still be here over a year from now so why not try and make it ours right?

We're gonna go look at paint samples today and maybe we'll come home with some paint!! I saw this paint sample called 'cuban cigar', oh it's so pretty. I think it might be just a bit too dark though for our room, so hopefully we'll get something lighter.

If I paint I'm gonna get some new bedding with my birthday money.

Then later I think I will tackle the scrapbook room!

Today will be a fun day!

Pizza rolls anyone??

Today was pizza roll day!! Unofficially of course... We had all of the fixings for some pizza rolls so we decided today we would bite the bullet and make some good eats. It didn't take us as long as expected, thankfully! In less than 3 hours we had 68 large & 24 small pizza rolls. YUMMY!!

Jamie, bless his heart, did most of the work. He chopped up all of the veggies & meat for the filling. I cooked the bacon & the hamburger. Jamie also filled & rolled all of the rolls & I cooked them.

Please ignore my hair in my pic--I think I'm going to get it cut & dyed tomorrow! It's looks so horrible right now!! ICK!!

Wedding Invites....

I have been asked to design some wedding invitations!!!

I made wedding invites for Jamie's niece (who got married in July) and someone at their wedding wants me to make their invitations.

I am going to meet with them in February to discuss prices & design.

I have no idea what to charge, but I'll figure it out!

I don't want to be too expensive and them end up changing their mind or something.

Still cool though!

Maybe that'll get me motivated to design my own invites!

Working away...

I decided to at least keep creating. Once I have my pages and assignments done I'll make the 'big' decision on whether or not I should enter.

At the very least I am going to have 10+ new pages right? I was able to complete two more pages on the weekend and I'm plugging away at my 3rd right now. So that will be four out of 10 pages for sure. I also have a few other pages completed that might make the cut. We will see.

Wish me luck!

Should I or Shouldn't I?

I still can't decide if I want to enter hof.

In a way I want too, then I don't. Am I good enough? Do I deserve it?

Probably not.

But in a sick way I've been rejected from mostly everything else that I tried out for, so what is one more??

Maybe this will be my last thing and for the rest of the year I'll just scrap for me. And stop trying out for stuff.

I don't know.

I already started, so I guess I should finish.

Decisions, decisions.

A new year..

And a new planner. I was too cheap to buy myself a calendar this year so I whipped one up last night.

And I scheduled in the big wedding countdown. 8 months to go people!!!!!!!!!

In other news I'm still battling this cold/flu thing that I have had since last Thursday.

My Christmas tree is still up and my laundry is mounting. I was supposed to take care of that yesterday but I felt like crap and surprise! I feel like crap again today.

This thing is relentless!
